  1. Heroes, role models, idols…never had much of them, now or growing up.  I never had a self-proclaimed hero that I unconditionally loved and aspired to become.  I guess I always found fault in everyone because there wasn’t just one person who I felt encompassed everything I wanted or believed in or anyone that ever got close.  I appreciate what people have done and I don’t take that for granted but what they have accomplished and did has already been done, immortalized in history and the past.  The few that have done so are the lucky ones, because for most of us, time erases the small marks we make in history.  Like the ebbing waters erases the messages in the sands of time.

  3. The view from the desk of one of the jobs I worked at this past semester.  As I wasted my time sitting, supposedly doing homework, but falling asleep instead, I realized that at the minimum wage rate I was getting, the total hours in the week I worked is equivalent to the same wage my uncle would get in two hours of working.  Goes to show how furthering your education pays, literally.  Money goes far but the real issue is finding the product of one’s combination of interests and aspirations to formulate the career and the lifestyle.
